Password protect the browser itself

As far back as 2018 I see requests for an integrated password to guard against unauthorized access to the browser itself.

I’m not talking about the password manager, or the windows password, or using a 3rd party chrome plugin.

Apologies if this forums etiquette would have preferred that I join one of the other conga lines.

I know LockPW exists but we shouldn’t need an extension for a browser that is built on the principle of being privacy centric. I don’t like extensions, and I certainly don’t want to have the same problem that some other folks seem to.

I also find the privacy policy of the developer of LockPW to be the opposite of what Brave’s targeted audience values.

What would need to happen for Brave to prioritize this feature?
