Page view resets to the top of the screen when scrolling certain pages

Description of the issue:

When scrolling certain pages at the Pro Football Reference website, Brave resets the page view to the top of the screen - this makes it difficult to view text at the bottom of the page.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. Visit
  2. Scroll partly down the page, by swiping once
  3. Wait for the scrolling to stop
  4. Attempt scrolling down the page again, by swiping downward a second time.

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

The page view resets to the top of the page.

Expected result:

The bottom part of the page should show up, after scrolling/swiping downward.

Reproduces how often:

Frequently, but not every single time.

70.0.3538.110 (Official Build) (32-bit)

Mobile Device details

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, 2014 edition (PM-600)

Android/iOS Version

Android 5.1.1

This problem does not happen on my desktop computer or my phone, but only my tablet.


Thank you for reporting this! I suspect we have some device dependent issues with our Android build right now - namely with tablets as opposed to phones.
I’m going to forward this information to the Android team so they can take a look. That said, this may be one of several other related issues surrounding tablets so I can’t give you any concrete information as to when or how this will be fixed.

I will, however, try and reply back here when i get a response from the Android team (if there’s new information anyway).
