Page rendering bug - Mac

BRAVE version 0.66.99 cannot render the following page correctly. As you scroll down the page it will suddenly go blank (white). The page renders properly with Safari.

Windows Brave 0.66.99 Chromium: 75.0.3770.100 (Official Build) (64-bit) does the same, though, FWIW, Brave 0.69.44 Chromium: 75.0.3770.100 (Official Build) nightly (64-bit) in Win10 Home 1809 and MacOS 10.14.5 does it fine.

This infinite scroll bug has cropped up before (e.g. When scrolling down in a inc.com article of an particular author, the web page goes blank? and Web page goes blank after scrolling too far down).

The fix per @Mattches is to turn on script blocking for the site (or move to Nightly - I’ve been doing it for months with no problem).

That allows viewing that particular article all the way to the bottom and there isn’t infinite scrolling (Nightly does the infinite scrolling without changing settings).

Mattches’ explanation in the linked threads suggests that by figuring out which cookie enables infinite scrolling, one could unblock it, leave scripts unblocked, and maybe that would re-enable infinite scrolling, but that would also allow tracking via that cookie to at least some degree.

It looks like we had actually resolved this previously – may be a regression. I’m going to reach out to some of our webcompat guys to see if they know whats up.
