Description of the issue:
Certain websites are slow to load compared to Chrome. This is most noticeable on sites where there is a textbox for user input, such as username/password or a search box.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Incognito mode (so there’s no cache)
- Go to https://www.canadiantire.ca/ or https://online.simplii.com/ (as examples)
- Notice the spinner in the browser tab. Also notice you can’t type in the search box for several seconds.
Expected result:
Being able to type in the search box as soon as the page loads. In Chrome you can.
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
Version 1.46.134 Chromium: 108.0.5359.94 (Official Build) (64-bit) - latest
Additional Information:
If you open F12, on the network tab you will see many web resources in “pending” state as you wait for the page to fully load. Only certain sites have this issue, not all. For example Amazon.ca, you can type in the search box immediately. No spinner. Loads instantly. This issue is not new. I’ve noticed this for at least a year. So, it’s not specific to the current version.
