"P" key does not work when Brave Ad is displayed

When a Brave Ad is displayed on-screen, the “P” key on my keyboard will not function. When I click to exit the Brave Ad, the “P” key continues to function as normal once again, until another Brave Ad pops up.

A Brave Ad just [p]o[pp]ed u[p] and all other keys a[pp]ear to function as normal. I’ve exited the Brave Ad, and now… the “P” key works just fine. This bug affects other programs as well, tested in Notepad, as long as the Brave Ad is displayed.

Brave is up to date
Version 1.45.116 Chromium: 107.0.5304.91 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Windows 11

Edit: After restarting my computer, everything seems to work fine. Still a weird bug though.

Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear you’re having trouble with Brave. About bug issue, looks like a Hardware Acceleration issue to me. Can you try disabling this setting and see if that resolves your issue?

You’ll find this in: Settings --> Advanced --> System --> Hardware Acceleration
