Option to use tab to only select text fields?

Description of the issue:
There doesn’t appear to be a way to get Brave to behave like a Mac app in regards to selecting text fields via tab. There is only an option to prevent selecting links via tab, which is not the same thing.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.*
Press tab
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Various elements other than the text field are highlighted
Expected result:
Only text fields are highlighted
Reproduces how often:
every time
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Version 1.0.1 Chromium: 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I’ve also looked for an extension to fix this and came up empty

First, I’d highly recommend updating to the most recent release of the browser, v1.1.23 at the time of writing this. Additionally, can you tell me what site(s) you’re having issues with trying to tab-into text fields? On my end, while I can’t only tab into text fields, I still can do it:

See, this is the problem. In fact, MacOS has a global preference to change behavior, but the default is to tab ONLY text fields.

I should say text fields and associated lists (not radio or checkboxes or popup menus).

If you open Safari’s preferences, for example, you can easily see what you can tab into

I see what you’re saying. I do apologize for the inconvenience – however, at this time, there’s no way for you to adjust this setting within the browser itself. I would recommend leaving a feature request on our Github or here on Community for the devs to consider.
