As a IT guy, after having linux since I turned 17 I am still looking for a perfect state of tabs that can be freezed, therefore I would suggest and extension where after clicking right mouse on a tab → freeeze tab! → the tab is memorized as a stack of images instead of holding a whole structure of it… then when I enter the site it is static, only png files, no action, but when I go into F5 it is getting de freezed again…
Then instead of a Youtube tab around 240 MB , the memory would be around 1.44 or 2 x 1.44 (and so on)… depending on how much long it is with…
These steps would significantly reduce the memory take…
Is there any similar thing ? Anyone ?
Chromium (and also Brave) has Memory Saver via brave://settings/system which is done automatically.
There is other memory saving extension but require more effort to configure (Tab suspender extension). If you want more options, then this might be a better fit. If you just want Chromium/Brave to manage it, it can be done without adding another extension.
