Additional Information:

@edneri,
Thanks for the well written report!
I was unable to reproduce this behavior. I tested by sending myself a Youtube link to my email account, clicked on link in email --> YouTube opens and video plays without issue:
ytlinks
Which email client are you opening the links from? Additionally, is it only YT links affected or are there other sites that will cause Brave to crash in this same way?

Thanks for the quick response

I’m using gmail, I tried to open a video link from Univision.com and another from ESPN and looks like both worked without issues, tried again with youtube and it crashed on the restore too.

If you just visit YouTube normally (typing it into address bar), does the site still crash or does it work as intended?

yes it crashes every time I start playing a video in YouTube, if I use Chrome or any other browser in the same computer I have no issues the video plays

(Attachment BraveCrash.mp4 is missing)

Although this is the first I’ve seen this I think, it looks like we do have an open issue for this but it’s a little outdated:

Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration to see if that resolves the issue?
Settings --> Advanced --> System --> Hardware Acceleration

Just tried and didn’t work, it crashed opening the link from email or directly in YouTube nothing changed.

Sorry for the late reply.
I’m looking into this issue further and discussing with the team. Thank you for your patience.
