“Open in App” function not working - Android

Description of the issue:
When I click the “Open in App” button in the top-right corner of websites like YouTube or Spotify (which have corresponding apps installed on my phone), I encounter an error message stating “This site can’t be reached.”

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Open Brave Browser on a Samsung Note 20.

2. Visit a website with an “Open in App” button (e.g., YouTube or Spotify).

3. Click the “Open in App” button in the top-right corner.

Expected result:
The website should redirect and open in the corresponding app.

Brave Version (check About Brave):
1.73.101

Mobile Device details:
Samsung Note 20

Additional Information:
The issue occurs consistently with apps that are installed on the phone.

Good report. Did you set BB to be the default Internet browser?

You might change the title of your Original Post, to:

Yes it is my default browser

Have you checked this settings? If this is turned off, then tapping the ‘open in app’ prompt in sites won’t work.
