When I open my browser (using DuckDuckGo as default in Brave) And do a few things, and then exit and later open the bowser again, I’m stuck with what I was in before, which is always wrong. If I do about 30 or 40 steps to back out of what I was doing, I can start fresh next time, but that is onerous. How do I make the browser start fresh every time without such pain?
@JonJacobs answers vary based on details. For example, you didn’t explain if you are on desktop or mobile version of Brave. On Android, if you exit the app without closing the site and reopen, it will continue where you were. There’s no way to disable that. On Desktop, you would go to Settings and change it. brave://settings/ which is what you see when you first open, it has an option that says On startup. You would change what you want:
If it is on Continue where you left off then it would reopen the pages you were on. You would just change this to specific page or to say that you want it to open on New Tab Page.
In any case, please be sure to provide more information on what version of the browser you’re using and which operating system when you seek help. These are two very important details as each has different settings and solutions.
