I am unable to cast from brave or chrome browser on my laptop to my Tv ( using a chromecast device) while brave VPN in connected. When I try to cast it says “no devices found”.
If I disconnect brave VPN I can cast from brave and chrome browsers.
I just downloaded brave a week ago.
@hldysart this is expected and how things should work. Chromecast works by having all devices on the same IP address. A VPN is changing your address. So if your laptop is using a different IP via VPN than your TV then they would no longer be able to communicate with each other.
In order for you to be able to use Chromecast while using a VPN you would have to make sure that the VPN itself is on your router or that both devices are somehow using the same VPN address on the same network
