On start-up - "Continue where you left off" - empty

1. Description of the issue:

After updating to the latest version:

Version 1.31.33 Chromium: 93.0.4577.63 (Official Build) nightly (64-bit)

No tabs, despite On start-up - “Continue where you left off” setting being turned ON.

2. What happened:

I have updated browser via terminal on Linux:

my hard- & soft- ware:

OS: Pop!_OS 20.04 LTS x86_64
Host: M68MT-D3
Kernel: 5.11.0-7633-generic
DE: Xfce
WM: Xfwm4
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T (6) @ 3.2
GPU: AMD ATI Radeon HD 6850

list of commands I used (in order):

sudo apt update
[Enter]
sudo apt-get update
[Enter]
sudo apt-get upgrade
[Enter]
sudo apt-get clean
[Enter]
sudo apt-get auto-clean
[Enter]
sudo apt-get autoremove
[Enter]

I opened Brave and there was nothing. Not a single tab.
I brought them back from “history” but since it is fresh install ( last few days ) there was not much of a problem. I have quite a few tabs open usually so it would be very convenient to “start where I left off”.

If that is something on my side I can fix pls let me know.

I will forward this information to the team to check for regressions, but do note that the Nightly version of the browser is prone to having bugs and crashes so behavior like this is not unexpected.
