Description of the issue:
I JUST moved to Brave after a lifetime of Chrome, and initially, it seemed good. But now I’m finding the ad block does NOT block all pup-ups (? I’m very old and not tech savvy.) on several sites I use. Admittedly, I sail the seven seas, but until Chrome got rid of uBlockOrigin, I never had these problems. (And this change is why I moved here in the first place.)
I can’t answer most of the questions below because I don’t know the answers, or I can’t show when a new page opens when I click a link. (Like I said, old.)
Unfortunately, that is already enabled. Any other suggestions?

@fanboynz is this still not something Shields is capable of or what types of rules would we have to look at? I know usually Desktop has better controls, but still can struggle on a lot of these pirated streaming sites. Obviously Block Scripts could stop it, but then it stops videos and all from playing too.
Like looking at the example given by OP, I went to https://watchseries.bar/tv/daredevil-born-again/202555. The default video wasn’t playing so I clicked on MyCloud server and was able to click to get the video playing with no issue.
But then when I tried to fast forward, it popped up a new tab like below:
Which was https://adsquasher.pro/store.php?pd=czyoTXnN1Xde&pk=327436&pg=3C9AC3E0-02C4-11F0-AB9C-BF2B5A56FE20&pf=yo&pj=12&pi=
Then as toying with that same, another time it was https://gorgeonix.com/, and then https://www.popularonlineselling.com/, https://zongpower.com/ and so on.
As I told the first person who answered, popups and redirects WAS enabled, so I’m still nowhere.
I really can’t believe that uBlockOrigin was THAT good on Chrome, because I NEVER had this issue. (Or maybe it WAS too good, which is why they stopped supporting it?)
Anyway, I was given a glowing review of Brave when I asked what browser I should replace Chrome with (On the Reddit uBlock site) and it does look just like Chrome so for non-techie me, it was mostly easy. Except for this. And sometimes I end up clicking five or more times, and that’s very irritating.
@KarenBoehler Brave’s native adblocker does a lot but still some small annoyances that it doesn’t deal with perfectly. If you’re not aware, you can still use uBlock Origin here on Brave.
Go to Settings → Extensions → Manifest V2 Extensions. Or you can just paste in brave://settings/extensions/v2
And you’re right, when using uBlock Origin the issue doesn’t seem to happen. I’m not sure if it’s just rules Shields doesn’t yet support or what? But at least you can still enable and use uBlock Origin for now if you’d like.
Thanks so much everybody. It seems to be working correctly. Now, the only problem is why the videos don’t run on my weather site. (They always used to.)
