Obscene Memory Usage

Brave is using an impossible 10GB of RAM on my 8GB computer, bogging it down to an endless spinning circle.
And that’s just the base memory. Each tab adds at 150mbs.
What can I do?
It’s absurd that so much goes to brave. wtf?

Sounds like you have extensions or something causing you problems. As you can see below, Brave isn’t using much on mine.

Have you used Brave’s task manager to determine what’s being used? For example, my breakdown is below:

How many tabs you have open? If a bunch, why? You may want to reconsider.

  1. Look through to figure out what’s causing the usage. You may need to uninstall some extensions or rethink things a bit.

  2. Have you considering enabling Memory Saver? The toggle for this is at brave://settings/system.
