NYTimes onion website automatically launches in a tor window simply by visiting nytimes.com

Description of the issue:
Typing nytimes.com into address bar opens the website, but also opens their onion website in a Tor window. This does not happen in a private window. This should not be expected behavior.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Type nytimes.com into address bar, press enter
2. Tor window should open over top of the main brave window with NYTimes’ onion website: nytimes3xbfgragh.onion

Expected result:
Visiting a website should not automatically trigger an Onion version of said website to open alongside it. Maybe a popup window asking if you would like the onion version to open in Tor.

Every time

Do you have Brave’s “Automatically redirect .onion sites” option enabled?

I had no reason to check to see if that was a option or not… But I appreciate the help tjn!
