Number of open Windows open after browser where closed

Hey. I got a problem. Everytime I close my browser with a few windows open,
I got the number of open windows back open after starting the browser again.

Any ideas how to fix it?

Hi @MaddogOfficial,

You can set Brave start with behavior in Preferences > General.

Sadly it doesn’t fix my problem. I try to illustrate it again.
I have a few tabs in a few windows open. So this is a normal situation for me.
But when I close Brave sometimes it opens a few (1-5) windows instead of the wanted one.
This is often when I close all open windows with one click.

Hope you can help me.

Also sometimes if I close the active window with the button on the top right all windows get closed

Another problem is that I can’t search the history. It erase everything I write

Do you use any external software to clean the disk? Softwares like CCleaner or Antivirus based performance boosters like Kaspersky Disk Analyzer ? Such softwares tend to clear your browsing data by default.

No I do not have any software hoe clear my browsing data by default. In another browser it also do not clear. Just in Brave

What you’re telling is supposed to be a component of “incognito mode” where sessions history or web history is not saved. Clear all the inBrowser data once [History, cookies, cache, saved form fill data & passwords & rest] Uninstall Brave.
Delete the whole main brave folder where you’ve installed brave & its components.
Restart the PC
Do a fresh install of brave browser
Do not touch any settings & start surfing. Leave few pages open, close the browser. Make sure to read all prompts you get while closing. Restart the browser & see if the session is restored.
P.S do not install any kind of plug-in/extension after fresh install. Many privacy plug-ins tend to clear your history & session data after you close the tabs.
