Not possible to backup wallet

The option to backup the wallet recovery phrase is gone… it just says to link to an uphold account, which I cannot do because it tells me I have connected more than 4 devices which is completely false, the Brave browser forgot my verification and made me re-verify many times which is why it thinks I have used 4 devices.

So I cannot link to uphold and Brave is not letting me backup the wallet anymore… why???

Something dodgy is definitely going on, smells like a rug pull.
