Not getting deposits from Brave Creators for more than 2 months

I have this info in my Brave Creators account:

Monthly payouts

Last Deposit: 197 BAT
Last deposit date: Dec 13, 2024 - 6:05 am
Next deposit date: March 13, 2025

Just a week ago Next deposit date was Feb 13, 2025

I didn’t receive anything in Feb 2025 nor in Jan 2025, so 2 months are now skipped.

What might be the issue, how to track it down or get more info (for example the pending for the upcoming deposit amount)?

Thank you!

Hello - Could you submit your issue below and we can take a look. Thanks!

Done, thank you @Evan123

I reached out via form, but not really satisfied with the answers there :frowning:

Here’s my Brave Creators payout history:

So, here’s my history:

  • Jul 15, 2024: 111 BAT
  • Aug 12, 2024: 142 BAT
  • Sep 14, 2024: 191 BAT
  • Oct 16, 2024: 185 BAT
  • Nov 15, 2024: 195 BAT
  • Dec 13, 2024: 196 BAT
  • Jan 2025: nothing
  • Feb 2025: nothing

From the support I got the answer that this is the result of the auto-contributions feature that was removed recently.

Really?! That changed my Brave Creators income from ~200 BAT/month to 0?

@Evan123 could you confirm that’s the case? Thank you.

@eloquence it would make sense. If the majority of yours was from auto-contributions and now it’s relying on people to choose to tip you and send, it likely means you won’t see as much. Especially when you combine this with the fact that Rewards payments have also decreased this year as well, in the same time period as you’re mentioning.

Keep in mind that it’s not Brave that pays you but would be people who are visiting your content. You could always reach out to the people visiting your content to find out how many use Brave, if they tip, etc.

It doesn’t look like this. If my income from Brave Creators went down from monthly ~200 BAT to 0 instantly, it means 100% of my income was from auto-contributions, in other words 100% of my users were using auto-contributions and 0% was from tips.

Well, if this is not a bug but a feature, then I guess it doesn’t make sense to use Brave Creators anymore  I don’t think that begging for the tips will change anything

@eloquence I’m not saying to beg for tips. What I said is you could engage with the people who come to your content to find out if they had been tipping. I don’t know what type of content you have, but nothing to ever stop from asking how many of the people who visit you use Brave and then ask if they ever manually tip. Essentially get the conversation going and get a feel for things yourself.

As to saying if it’s worth it, all depends. There’s a lot of things that is being hinted on for the future. But indeed, the hard part with Rewards is it’s mainly that people have to choose to tip you. I don’t know the percentage, but from all the posts I’ve seen, the average person is trying to keep 100% of BAT for themselves. There’s no real incentive to tip anyone. It doesn’t mean that it doesn’t get done. I’ve had people hit me up with like 300+ BAT tips before or had the occasional like 1-5 BAT tips.

Of course, you increase the likelihood of earning if you talk to people about Brave existing, reminding them they can tip, etc.

The auto-donation feature has been removed, which means now the only way I can earn BAT from Creators is to receive tips from people, is there any other program to earn BAT from Creators?
