The browser works with dunst notification thing because when using Brave with websites that send notifications I get the notifications but I am not getting any notifications of the brave-ads through dunst or at all.

No its a notification daemon you can run on linux.
It’s been a while since I’ve run Linux, so I’m not familiar with dunst. However, I’m wondering whether the Brave notification system is compatible with it. That would be my first guess.
Should be compatible because if i go onto a website that sends notifications and do a test notification it works through brave.
