I have a verified uphold wallet. Whenever I try to verify my brave wallet I get this error:
" Error: you need a verified account to log in
Please try again after you have completed ID verification on Uphold."
Moreover whenever I do this I get an email from uphold that brave has been authorised, and I can even see brave is connected in integrations section of uphold. What is this BS brave. Did I make another wallet for no reason?
I get a message of " something went wrong, please try again. I’ve sent a copy of my dl to upheld, that account is working great and i verified with thier customer support that everything was ok on thier side.
Same. Uphold chat support keeps pushing me to take the issue up with Brave. With just the slightest customer service attitude and passive aggressiveness, like repeated messages as answers to different questions. Constant linking to Brave troubleshooting and reassurances my Uphold account is working perfectly
I was having a similar issue trying to verify from my phone using the Uphold App. I was able to verify by verifying through the browser.
If using an Android device (I’m sure it can be replicated on an Apple device) Go into Android Settings and search for…
Uphold > App Info > Advanced > Opens by default > Open supported links > Select “Ask Every Time”
Now when you go back into Brave to verify, you should be prompted to either open with the Uphold App or within the Brave browser. Select Brave, login and verify. Hope this helps!
Make sure all your personal information in your Uphold account is accurate and complete. For example, Uphold will verify your account with an incomplete address, but Brave needs your full address, including street number, street, city, etc.
For anyone using an iOS device: Apple iOS devices are not supported due to Apple policies. If you are using an iOS device, you will not be able to verify with a custodial provider.
