No video playback when Brave window is behind another transparent window

Video freezes when under a transparent window:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open brave window to a video and play it.
  2. Open your terminal emulator (with transparency enabled) over the brave window.
  3. Brave window should now be visible but frozen on the last frame before the terminal was superposed.

Expected result:
The video should continue to play in the background as i work on my terminal in the foreground.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Versione 1.39.111 Chromium: 102.0.5005.61 (Build ufficiale) (a 64 bit)

Additional Information:
I realize this is probably done for performance reasons but is there no ways to change it. I have through every relevant option I have found in brave://settings/ and brave://flags/ to no avail. Did i miss something or is this a permanent “feature”.
I’m able to get the expected result with Firefox and other video playing applications like mpv.

On Windows 11 : Just for the record: Background tabs or windows continue to play when “Command Window” or any other browser or application pushes them to the background. Tried with Hulu / Youtube / Peackock.

Hope this helps.
