No ETH transactions are going through

Description of the issue:

2 part. 1 the default gas is incredibly low.

2 transactions are never going through.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Attempt to make any ethereum transaction
2. Observe the default gass is extremely low
3. Try to increase the gas price to up to over $100 paid for a transaction

Expected result:

Transaction goes through and is recognized on etherscan.

is happening when I try to speed up cancelation.
