No Audio Bug, Affecting Videos After the First

Description of the issue: No audio when watching videos after the first video. I have to close Brave and re-open it every time I want to watch a video and have audio.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave, go to a YouTube video, play it and hear audio
  2. Refresh page, play same video, there is no audio

Expected result: Kinda obvious…

Brave Version( check About Brave): [Version 1.2.43 Chromium: 79.0.3945.130 (Official Build) (64-bit)]

Additional Information: Running Windows 10. Brave worked fine a few days ago and suddenly this issue has popped up seemingly randomly. I can only assume a recent update must have happened in that time.

The bug occurs on any attempt to load an additional video. That’s to say that I can open one video, hear audio, open another in a new tab which will have no audio, but I can still go back to the original video and hear audio. So I can’t even workaround it by not closing the first video or anything.

Anyone got anything?
