After updating brave browser a few days ago it no longer save my theme preference for Anilist site. The site doesn’t have any issues on other browsers and only has this bug on the Brave browser for windows. I have selected Dark Theme and whenever I reopen the site in a new tab/window it resets back to light theme, the site used to work perfectly before the latest update.

So on my end choosing the site theme/settings seems to work as intended. I was able to open the site, change to dark theme, close the site/browser, reopen the site and have my settings saved.
Is there a specific action you are taking before the site “forgets” your theme settings?
nope, nothing specific… this happened to multiple users on the site who were using brave so it was definitely not just me… however when i messaged one of them they said that the latest update fixed the issue for them but it hasnt fixed it for me. am I on the latest version? or was there a newer update?
It’s possibly related to localStorage ephemeral storage issues.

Check if disabling brave://flags/#brave-ephemeral-storage resolves the issue.
