I have noticed a new type of notification/ad from Brave. I have received this notification/ad several times. This type of ad does not increment the ads received this month. It is the same ad from the same company. I am up to date on android updates. I always update ad soon as it is available. This has happened on multiple updates/versions.

As far as the appearance goes, I believe this is the new “Custom ads notifications” that we will be using moving forward. However, these should increment your ads counter just as previous ads did.
Can you please send me a DM with your wallet payment ID found on your brave://rewards-internals page so I can take a closer look?

Apologies – I was incorrect. This does not appear to be a Brave Ad, but rather a specific website notification.
Is there a way i can disable these types of website specific ads? Will it prevent me receiving me brave ads (monetary) or have any kind of ramifications?

If this is indeed a site specific ad, you’ll just have to block notifications from that site – not browser-wide.

Ok i clicked settings on the ad… then blocked them. I will update if this causes issues with brave ads.

Just a thought… isnt this a way for a company to back door brave & the users by sending ads & notifications?
