For the past 2 months or so I have become aware that my browsing experience is starting to be a little difficult. I have a Twitch channel that I am watching but muted because I was doing something else. Whenever I open a new tab to where I have that twitch channel is, it would pause the stream every time. I have tested this with my browser having 7TV and BetterTTV extension installed and uninstalled. The result would be the same where it will still pause the Twitch stream channel after opening a new tab. This has never happened to me before for a longest time. I am thinking that the recent updates that Brave had caused this. Also, reinstalled and clearing history doesn’t work as well. Is there a fix for this?
Mac user here. Same as well. If the Twitch stream is muted, whenever you change the tab, it gets paused. It’s very annoying. Memory saver is disabled. It has something to do with Brave shield, bc when turned off, the issue doesn’t reproduce. Already seen similar posts, but seems like this issue gets ignored.
Added the rule, but unfortunately same behavior when the shield is up.
I have additionally Fandoy’s Annoyance + uBO Annoyance filter enabled, but reproduces even with a default filter list also
It worked for a little bit in the new profile. But the issue appeared again after relaunch.
The same was for my main profile. It was working ok for the first few days after installation, but then I faced this issue. Not after some extension install or something, it’s just appeared.
All settings and extensions were installed on the first day, and everything worked ok for some time.
dang. none of the fix that i tried looking at and being suggested aren’t working for me. initially some of them would work but after a restart on the PC, it would revert it back again.
I was having the same problem when my stream was muted in twitch. But, then someone suggested I muted the tab itself and turned sound back on in the stream, and it stopped pausing.
