New Tab is showing RESULT_CODE_KILLED_BAD_MESSAGE error message instead of regular New Tab Dashboard

Flow:

  1. Have ‘‘Dashboard’’ option selected from the New Tab Page settings
    (Settings → New Tab Page)
  2. Open a New Tab
  3. Observe the error code
