New Playlist in BraveIOS is a downgrade

Can we include back when full screen playing video we can move forward/backward by swiping left/right anywhere like before?

Now swiping moves the video like a rubber band that does not mean anything. More often I missed the slider (too smalll) making the video smaller/move location.

This implementation is clearly a downgrade, i also missed the bigger scrollable playlist, if you have a long list it’s hard to find. The folder view is bad, that you have to hold and see all the folders.

Can we have the option to use the older playlist? Please. I love the playlist before now it is just so problematic to use.

Thank you for your consideration.

Already exists. Go to brave://flags and look for playlist and you can toggle it. Just keep in mind that eventually that will go away and you’re going to be stuck with just the new playlist so to speak.

I already have a Github issue opened for it and they have a fix to that coming, having expanded the range of the “scrubber” so people won’t have as hard of a time. You can see that at https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/42325#event-15369274237

Agreed. They did mention in that Github that they may not change that. But I know they are listening to feedback and working on a few different changes. Definitely may be improved upon here down the road

@EarlP and actually, they responded right away on follow-up.

The changes will land not in this next update, but the one after. They would have pushed it sooner but we’re too close to the next update releasing.

And in terms of the swiping to move the video, they are going back to that it seems. They created a new Github issue for it at https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/42442

You sir are a life saver. Thank you for showing me brave://flags. I did not know we can disable experimental features. Hopefully many of the bad UI decisions get reverted. To me this core feature of anywhere swiping to move forward/backwards is what brave sets apart from other video players. Finding the dot to initiate a precise forward/backward is very problematic IMO.

Thank you again.
