net::ERR_FAILED when Logging in some web site (ex: support.hp.com) / CORS again?

Description of the issue:
When logging in support.hp.com (other sites suffers this too), after you entered your email and select “Next”, you got an error window reflecting network errors.
Inspecting the request shows that:
-a PUT (cors) query to https://directory.id.hp.com/directory/… is returned in error by Brave as net::ERR_FAILED
-Open in a new tab for the involved URI is successful
I have this error even after reverting all parameters and removing all extensions…

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Create an HP account (email required)
  2. Ensure it works with Chrome or other browser
  3. Use Brave to login, turn on the Inspector mode, network tab, before “Next”
    You should see 2 similar failed URI, those URI response can be seen by “Open in a new tab”
    NB: HTTPS certificate chain is ok

Expected result:
The PUT URI should NOT been blocked by Brave or a parameter should allow this behavior

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.10.97 Chromium: 83.0.4103.116 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
Please do not let me go back to Chrome (and its ads and no extension allowed)…
