I tried out ads, I really did. And for awhile they were okay, because I was just browsing reddit and youtube.
But then I switched to reading the news and wikipedia and working on a project. And the very first time an ad interrupted me when I was focusing, I was filled with such rage. Volcanos, is what I’m talking about here.
So now I’ve turned off ads completely. But! If it could be arranged so that ads are only shown when I’m visiting certain websites, my problem could largely be solved. I am never doing anything useful on reddit, very rarely anything useful on youtube. I don’t mind being interrupted then. But anywhere else, and I can’t abide them.
