NAB Internet banking never remembers my browser/device

What particular Setting do I need to enable to rectify this?
For general security reasons I currently have Brave delete cookies and history etc. on exit.

I always have the Shield active.

With regard to Extensions, I only have Chroma eyedropper.

Thank you

You answered yourself here, @miami. They use cookies that they put on your device in order to recognize you. So if you’re clearing it, this would prevent them from recognizing you.

Instead of doing it that way, you may want to stop deleting cookies on exit and instead go into Shields settings and put the global setting for Forget me when I close this site to on.

Doing this will delete cookies and all as you exit each. If you want a website, such as your bank, to remember you, then you would just turn off that setting in the site specific settings via the little Shields icon (it appears under the drop down box for selecting if you want it to block cookies, toward bottom ):

Very nicely explained ’Saoiray’, thank you sincerely for taking the time to do the screen shots and explanations, which make sense.

I’ve gone in and configured it as you detailed.

Thanks heaps!!!

For anyone else encountering this, here are the instructions to avoid confusion (I’m sharing as realized I didn’t specify the difference of where global settings were):

When I mentioned adjusting the Shields settings globally, I’m referring to navigating to SettingsShields, or you can go directly by typing brave://settings/shields in the address bar. Any changes here will be the default action on all websites unless/until you change the site-specific settings.

For site-specific settings, use the Shields icon image near the address bar. Any changes made here will only affect the specific site you’re on and won’t impact others.

Oh, and @miami. Just want to give you a heads up on two things.

  1. Delete browsing data will ignore anything you whitelist. So even if you want it to keep it, despite any other setting in your browser, it will delete it. So be mindful of using this. It might be fine for things like History but you’ll want to be cautious about cookies or things like site settings…which brings me to the next point:

  2. Along the same warning as above, deleting anything under Site and Shields Settings will undo any changes you made for site specific settings.

Thank you again.
I think my example, together with your explanations, illustrates that this area is a tad complex/complicated, and the usefulness of forums like this and contributors is extremely helpful.

Thanks
