My website functionality is altered

All of a sudden the other night, the little side-scrolling arrows on my website disappeared. It means my clients can’t view my work by simply scrolling to the next image. They’d have to x out of it an select the next image. It’s fine on Firefox. I’ve asked Smugmug Support and they have no idea. Does anyone know what happened and how to fix it? If not, I’ll have to put some kind of notification for them not to use Brave.

@beep impossible to answer when you provide absolutely no information. Some examples of things that would typically be needed to look into things and provide an answer would be:

  • What particular website/link the issue is happening on

  • Which OS the issue appears on

  • What version of Brave it was seen/tested on

  • Whether you’ve attempted to change any Shields settings or even disable Shields on the site and if there was any different

  • If it might work in a private window

  • Whether people experiencing the issue have extensions

The list goes on. But right now all you’ve said is some website exists out there in the world and somehow scrolling arrows aren’t there. As you can imagine, there’s a lot of variables for that happening, including it being something as simple as it being the zoom settings for the browser or OS.

Thanks for the reply. All I know is my website suddenly doesn’t work on Brave but it isn’t happening with any other browser and I don’t have time to do any of this sleuthing! I’m going to tell clients not to use it. Anyway thanks.

But you should be able to share the URL to your website so others can sleuth and fix it. Otherwise this complete lack of detail or information is useless.
