Fortunately, Brave doesn’t crash on me frequently. When it does, and I choose to reload my tabs when I get the “Brave did not shut down properly” message, the tabs load in reverse order, from left-to-right to right-to-left.
I have Brave version 0.68.131, Chromium 76.0.3809.100, running on Windows 10 Pro v1809, 64-bit.
Oh, loads of extensions, including Quick Tab, Speed Dial 2, and Tab Position Options (the extensions dealing with tabs). I didn’t see any settings on these on how to deal with crashes. I don’t know how to recreate the issue, to figure out if any extensions are causing it. Is there a way to force Brave to crash and recover?
@ECPerkins,
You should be able to go to brave://crash but it’ll only crash the tab in focus – not the entire browser. I would imagine that without the Tab Position Options extension installed, this wouldn’t have happened (re-loading tabs in reverse order). I personally have never seen this issue described before so I believe it’s an edge case.
If you think there’s some other shenanigans going on please let me know and I’d be happy to further troubleshoot with you.
