My Brave Browser is constantly screensharing and I can't stop it

Description of the issue:
My Brave Browser is constantly saying its screensharing (the purple button on the top bar of my Mac). Clicking “Stop sharing” and quitting /restarting Brave doesn’t fix it. I am not casting on any software or hardware, I do not own a Chromecast.

Expected result:
Brave browser shouldn’t show this button / shouldn’t share my screen

Reproduces how often:
Everytime I open Brave.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
macOS Sonoma Version 14.6.1 (23G93)

Additional Information:
Same problem as this thread where it says it’s most likely a Chromium problem and should be fixed soon - but it was back in August 2023)

It is an issue with Chromium (on Sonoma specifically I believe) and it looks like it has still not been fixed on the Chromium side of things:
