Must 'force quit' in order to close/quit Brave browser

**Description of the issue: I am using a MacBook Air, 13-inch, M3, 2024. Brave browser works perfectly, EXCEPT when I am done using it, and I try to close it. I click on ‘Brave’ in the top menu on my Mac, choose ‘Quit Brave’, but the Browser does not quit. The Browser window DOES successfully close, but it does not completely quit. Therefore, if I attempt to shut down the Mac, it is not able to as Brave Browser is obstructing shutdown. It is always necessary to ‘force quit’ Brave Browser. **
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave Browser
  2. Attempt to close per the method mentioned above
  3. Attempt to ‘quit Brave Browser’ as mentioned above

Expected result: Be able to close Brave without having to ‘force quit’

Brave Version 1.80.113 (Official Build) (arm64)

Sometimes, there are one or more applications or MacOS processes that are trying to complete their tasks ← and if for some reason, a task is unable to complete, something of the application or the MacOS, will keep on trying.

The Spotlight software on the Mac, can get wound up with what it is trying to do. Unfinished Time Machine activity might be involved. iCloud activity - some sync that is not complete.
