Description of the issue:
When I press the back button multiple times, Brave goes back to the beginning page, then maximizes/unmaximizes the window. It’s like I’m double-clicking on the title bar. It shouldn’t do that in the menu bar.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Open Brave and browse several different websites, clicking from one to the next.
- Hit the “Back” button rapidly until you return to the starting page, and keep clicking.
- The Window will maximize/unmaximize (like toggling the maximize button). This behavior is correct for the top title bar, but it shouldn’t do that in the menu bar.
Expected result:
I expected the Brave browser to return to the beginning webpage, then do nothing when I continue to hit the button. Maximizing the window should only occur when double-clicking the title bar, not the menu bar (where the back button is located).
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
Brave is up to date
Brave 1.79.126 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chromium: 137.0.7151.119
Additional Information:
I like to click the backbutton very fast to get back to the starting page, the beginning of my browsing history. With other browsers (Opera, Chrome, Firefox) I can do that without maximizing/unmaximizing the browser window. This allows me to click the button rapidly without having to worry about stopping at the right time. Every time I do that in Brave, the browser gets back to the starter page, the back button grays out, and then when another double-click comes through, the window maximizes (or unmaximizes), and I have to double-click again to fix that. This is not normal behavior or software design for a windows program. Double-clicking a menu bar shouldn’t toggle the maximize button. Only double-clicking the title bar should toggle the maximize button.
