When you pick “New private window with Tor”, there is a very useful “Tor Status” indicator that tells you if you are connected or not but you have to scroll down to see it, I would like to suggest it is moved to the top so that people can see it without having to scroll down.

The Tor new tab page contains a lot of blocks and some of them are pretty much t… he same:

In addition, the daemon status block is at the very bottom while it's actually the most useful tool for detecting problems connecting to the Tor network.
