Mobile Browser Video Time Format Still Not Fixed (IOS)

,

I brought this issue to your attention in December 2024 and still not fixed.

Description of the issue:
The timer for video playback in the playlist has the wrong format here is an example:

Correct format
Instead of the duration showing: 9:04:56
Which is 9 hours 04 minutes 56 seconds

Wrong format
It is showing: 544:49
Which is 544 minutes 49 seconds

How can this issue be reproduced?

Just go to YouTube video
Save any video in the playlist
Play the video from the playlist
Expected result:
Video duration format should be: hh:mm:ss (hours: minutes: seconds)
But it is showing as
mm:ss (minutes: seconds)
obviously missing the hh (hours)

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version: 1.76 (77)

Mobile Device details
On iPhone 15 Pro

Additional Information:

Here is a visual example for you.

correct format when video is playing

not correct format of the same time when video is playing

A clear bug report re

  • possibly a Brave Browser (iOS) performance issue
  • but maybe an iOS playback issue?
  • or something else . . .

but hopefully might be of interest to Brave Team member @Mattches .

By the way, please update Brave Browser.

Hi, I’m using the latest but the same issue was there with the previous update 1.73 (97).

Thanks for letting us know – taking a look now.
