Missing Features: Search Engine 'Go Keys', Colored Tabs & Bookmarks Bar

Really enjoying the Beta so far, just noticed several features I was really attached to from Brave are currently missing:

  1. The release build of Brave had long had a variety of search engines ‘built in’ with Go Keys that could be entered in the address bar and used to send search queries directly though a site with a :colon preface (ie :w would search Wikipedia).

  2. Release version would color the tabs based on info from the respective sites.

  3. The Bookmarks Bar would allow setting the items to ‘Favicons Only’. The workaround is to remove what’s in the Name fields, but it would be preferable to be able to keep them named & just show the icons for a variety of reasons.

Are these features that will eventually be added to future versions of what is now the Beta, or are they orphaned, so to speak? I apologize in advance if this information is listed somewhere and I had missed it.

Thanks, Brave is by far my favorite browser on any platform.

Thanks for the feedback @de.fault

  1. An issue logged here https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/731

  2. An issue logged for that here https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/905

  3. I also make similar request regarding to bookmarks option. Here Bookmarks bar - Decrease spacing and option

I added your +1 for both request 1 & 2. :slightly_smiling_face:
