Description of the issue:
I noticed today as I was trying to teach that I couldn’t select my Apogee Quartet to use as my speaker in Google Meets. I’m streaming my classes using OBS and use the Quartet to route a few microphones and use the output of the Quartet to monitor sound. We use Google Classroom and my physical and virtual cable setup is good, it works in Chrome.
I recently switched to Brave (love it, never going back) BUT in the Brave settings, under Privacy & Security > Microphone the Apogee Quartet isn’t listed as an option… why?!
I noticed that in Google Meet that the Quartet isn’t an option as mic or speakers. I tried combing the community but can’t find any other posts yet where someone is experiencing the same thing. My workaround will be to use Chrome just for the stream and Brave for all my other sources going into OBS.
I’m really really liking Brave, but this is a bummer - I don’t know enough to understand why it’s not being picked up as an audio source in the browser.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- have an Apogee Quartet
- go look in your settings and see if it appears as a microphone
- tell me how you did it
Expected result:
I would like to use the Apogee Quartet as a ‘microphone’ source and speaker in Google Meets
