I may have the same problem, and I’m using Ubuntu 22.04. After some research, I guess the problem is not caused by the browser but by the OS. I take the suggestion from https://askubuntu.com/questions/1545188/unable-to-save-images-from-web-browsers-firefox-and-chromium-based-to-local-ma In my case, I fixed the problem by installing the following packages: sudo apt install xdg-desktop-portal xdg-desktop-portal-gtk Remember to close all browser windows before retry.
