May I know why the new payout system is based on geographical location?? I am sure people around the world are putting the same effort for sharing brave browser with their friends and relatives but while getting paid, one country is getting paid more and another less?? Why is that??
Because people living in USA, Australia and Europe possess more purchasing power compared to Asian countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh,India, Indonesia etc. Hence advertisers pay more to reach these users. Brave’s revenue depend on how much advertisers are paying them to reach these users. Hence a user who installs Brave Browser from USA is much more valuable to Brave than a user from India. So that’s why they have the tier system in place.
Oh alright.
I wish there was an alternative, like showing more number of ads in Asian countries so that could have compensated the referrals amount.
