Make Websites Dark

I’ve been using Opera GX and decided to switch to Brave mainly because its more elegant and less for gamers even though I’m one. It’s been great so far but the only thing I loved in GX and is missing here is the ability to make websites dark, Please consider this feature, I’m a dark mode addict and I’m pretty sure lots of ppl are too, and i hate downloading loads of extensions for stuff like this.

@Hbib it’s always a smart idea to share things like which OS you’re on. I’m assuming you are speaking of desktop based on some things you said, but always good to leave no doubt.

Anyway, on desktop, just go to brave://flags and enable Auto Dark Mode for Web Contents. Just Enabled tends to be good enough, but you can experiment with other one based on your needs.

When not using this flag, you just put Brave in dark mode and how websites load will depend on how they are coded. If they have dark mode, then usually it starts to load that way to match your browser settings. Anyway, changing that flag will default all websites to dark mode.

Oh thanks for the reply, I did not know the feature even existed I looked hard in the settings, just wondering why it’s not easy to find as opposed to GX you can simple right click and enable it.

Also it would be nice to be able to exclude some websites from this feature.
