1. The issue
I mainly use Brave in full screen mode, as with other apps on macOS.
I use my MacBook plugged into a monitor, and when I try to click and switch tabs the annoying little macOS title bar appears because I moved my mouse up too fast. As a result, I have to wait 2 seconds for the title bar to disappear and then go to my desired tab. Which pisses me off.
Google Chrome or Safari on the other hand, does not do this and instead embeds the traffic lights within the tab bar. So that when you accidentally move your cursor a bit too high up, it does not display the little white useless title bar and blocks you from clicking on a tab.
2. The solution
I request that this white title bar be removed, and instead have those window traffic light buttons embedded within the tab bar, as done with most other browsers. Look at the end of the post for a visual description of what it should look like.
3. Why should this even be considered
As I have said above, it gets really annoying when you’re trying to switch between tabs (and even more annoying when you have “Enable compact tabs” setting turned on) that a useless title bar is blocking you from seeing your tabs and that you have to wait a second or two just for it to disappear. Google Chrome and Safari do not show the titlebar and thus has a better ease of use.
Implementing this feature would be very helpful to all users who use their browser in full screen. I really hope that Brave adds this feature as it gets on my nerves sometimes. Below is an image of how Safari handles it:
