Lustre.ai's extension is blocked by Brave

Description of the issue:

Lustre.ai’s browser extension gets blocked by Brave. Lustre’s extension tries to load iframes directly on 3rd party online retailers’ pages (e.g. Amazon) to provide a better shopping experience for people. Recently the extension stopped working on Brave, looks like it started blocking the content leaving an empty space where the extension’s content is supposed to show.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Install Lustre’s browser extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Open Amazon US’s homepage.
  3. Scroll down right below the fold to see a big empty space where Lustre’s content is supposed to be.
  4. If you refresh the page while scrolled down Lustre’s content flashes for a split second and then disappears.

Expected result:

Lustre’s content should be shown in-line on Amazon’s page.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.35.101 Chromium: 98.0.4758.87 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Additional Information:

Brave users care a lot about privacy. Lustre’s privacy policies are aligned with Brave’s but unfortunately Brave doesn’t seem to allow fine tuning of which hostnames are allowed to load on a 3rd party page so if someone wants to use Lustre’s extension they have to disable the shield on any retailer Lustre works on which is far less than ideal.

We are blocking the lustre.ai since its an adserver. (Came from https://www.slant.co/topics/4741/~system-monitors-for-linux )

Add: ||lustre.ai^$third-party,badfilter in brave://adblock

I’ve adjusted the issue on our side. give it 24hrs for the fix to roll out.
