Lost google two factor authenticator

Hi, I’m a verified publisher and I’ve lost the two-factor authenticator. I’ve read many articles on this but I can’t understand how to recover it with the mnemonic phrase you gave when I installed the 2-factor. How can I do it? Thanks

@Mnemonic,
You can’t recover your 2FA but you can reset it by following the instructions on our Help Center:

so will I need to create a new referral code? What if I just don’t touch anything cause is everything connected to the uphold? Will I continue to receive BAT rewards even if I don’t login?

@Mnemonic,

No, you’re just resetting your 2FA associated with your Creators account.

are you sure about it? I’ve just read this:

Hello,

If you have lost access to your 2FA authentication method for Brave Payments, you will not be able to log back into your account at any time.

However, you can transfer your previous channels (along with their respective balances) into a new Payments account.

Simply open a new Payments account under a new email address and re-add your old channels (follow the same steps you did to set them up in the first place). Your channels will transfer to your new account within 10 days.

Keep in mind that you will also have to re-register with our referral program and your referral link will also have to be regenerated.

Don’t hesitate to zip an email over to support+publishers@basicattentiontoken.org if you are having problems or have any questions.

Best,

Brave Publisher Support
