Lost both devices that sync

Hi!
Lost both devices that used to synch my bookmarks, etc.
Still have the sync chain passphrase but get error: “This code has expired. Please generate a new one on your other device and try again.” when I try it.
It’s a long shot, I know, but is there any way I can get my bookmarks back?

Hi thank you for reporting.

Have you tried the following below?

  1. Retrieve the old sync phrase
  2. If it was time-limited and has 25 words - remove the last word
  3. Add the word from https://alexeybarabash.github.io/25th-brave-sync-word/ to that 24 words
  4. Sync should allow join the chain with new formed 25 words phrase

@seb3 it is shared with all. There’s a pinned FAQ and everything. Though I did hide it a bit under Sync FAQ as Sync is not a backup because I want people to realize this is expected to change in the future. It is not meant to be a data backup and it’s likely this extra measure that has been available to people in order to recover last sync chains will vanish.
