Logins lost after closing brave

So, this happened recently. When I logged in my device, and started brave, I found all my log in data are lost. All sites got logged out. So, I signed in again in youtube, gmail, twitch, chatGPT and few others. But after I closed the app, all my logins vanished. I have not changed any settings and I have been using brave for more than 3 years or more, but haven’t faced ay issue.
BTW, I use linux, specifically Pop! OS as my daily driver. Can someone help me out with this?

I have the same problem on Kubuntu 24.10. I’ve been using Brave for years, and never had this issue. Something happened in the last few days, and brave logged me out of everywhere on both Linux and Android. Now my browser on Linux won’t remember logins beyond shutting down and reopening the browser.

I have the same issue, Login will lose if I restart the machine or relaunch brave browser.
This happens only after the recent updates.
My settings as follows:

Brave version as follows

So it’s particularly the brave update giving trouble. Thanks for letting me know

Don’t mark this as solved yet. The developers may not even look at the issue, thinking it has been solved.

I rebooted twice over the last couple of days, and the problem seems to have disappeared. It’s the same version as before:
Version 1.77.95 Chromium: 135.0.7049.52 (Official Build) (64-bit)

@Sebastian_original @pnr and everyone else…this has been mentioned in a lot of places and solutions ongoing.

Short summary:

  • Running -disable-features=UseFreedesktopSecretKeyProvider should fix it until official fix lands.

  • It should be working no issues on Nightly

  • Uplift is coming to other versions, just have to wait for update.

To my knowledge uplift didn’t hit for Release and all yet, but if it did, then that’s good. Glad to hear PNR is saying problem seems resolved. Not sure “why” necessarily if wasn’t updated, but whatever.

At least tossed in prior reply just to point things out and have the official links in so anyone else finding it might know.

I upgraded to the following version and the issue is resolved.

Version 1.77.97 Chromium: 135.0.7049.84 (Official Build) (64-bit)
