I have an Android 11 (Build RP1A.201005.004) Pixel 3 XL and Brave 1.15.73, Chromium 860.4240.75 installed.
The problem relates to Supercell’s Clash Royale game. Clash Royale websites offer suggestions of 8-card decks for players to copy from a URL into the game itself for players to use. This used to work before I upgraded operating system and/or Brave; I don’t know which.
Currently these links work in the regular Android Chrome Browser but not Brave.
They look like https://link.clashroyale.com/deck/en?deck=[series of codes separated by semicolons] or clashroyale://copyDeck?deck=[series of codes with ;]. These links for copying decks are found from RoyaleAPI.com, StatsRoyale.com, and DeckShop.pro.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Click copy deck link in Browser
- Does not switch in to Clash Royale with your selected deck, as it used to do in Brave but only does so in Chrome.
- Land on clashroyale.com copy the deck page, still in Brave, with your desired deck featured, asking “Do you have Clash Royale installed on this device,” which I do.
- Click on “Yes” button in Brave, but nothing happens.
Expected result:
With one click, switch from Brave to Clash Royale app with your selected deck copied and ready to paste into the game.
