Description of the issue:
When I launch Brave, I should see the single page defined in settings. In my case, it’s my Microsoft OneNote app. What I actually see is multiple tabs for the same page. Some load correctly, others show an error message. Every time I restart, I have to close those other tabs and then log into OneNote.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- I launch Brave browser (Linux desktop - Kubuntu distro)
2.See multiple tabs opened automatically.
Expected result:
I expect the browser to open a specific page on start-up. This page was specified in the settings (Settings > On Startup > “Open a specific page or set of pages” > PAge specified here.)
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
Version 1.66.118 Chromium: 125.0.6422.147 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
When I launch Brave, I expect the browser to open to the page I have specified in settings. This home page happens to be my “Microsoft OneNote” in the cloud app.
Here’s what I expect to see…
Here’s what I actually see…
And this shows that I do have it set to open a specific single page, not a bunch of them.
My environment is a basic Linux Kubuntu 22.04.4 LTS version, originally installed from the Jammy ISO. Brave was installed directly from the repos using apt.
Any thoughts on how I can get this bad boy to only open the single tab at start-up?
